Currently listening to: GEZEBELLE GABURGABLY - Gaburger in September, 2023 | I adore this album. Bandcamp/Soundcloud thing, very internet. I see people calling it Epunk/Incelcore, which of course is my new favourite genre (I'll try find some more good ones to upload). ~Weezercore~. I've been playing it at my friends' houses, at work, whenever I'm handed the aux—recommending it to anyone who'll listen, and now I'm recommending it to YOU. I was hooked right from the start, and the songs only get better (but to be honest I don't remember the end of the album so well because I'm usually too far gone by that point).

Emo (ಥ﹏ಥ)

Is this what comes to mind when you hear the word "emo"? Well, you would be entirely incorrect. Here's what it actually looks like.
Have I broken all your preconceived notions about the genre? Great, now listen to some of these albums to see what I'm talking about.
Oh, and maybe have a gander at this too. A quick primer that might be handy if you're completely new. It goes without saying to never take such things as gospel, but it should give you some footing.
Now, around the internet you're going to see mention of a so-called 'fifth wave'—we'll get to that eventually, but it might be better if you know your history.
